FLORENCE — Japanese tourist Keiko Haruto was instantly shamed by her friends and family after it was discovered that he had only taken roughly five hundred million photos during her European vacation.
“You bring great shame,” Haruto’s father said. “When your brother returned home from his trip to India, he brought back over a billion photos, but you… you dishonor your family with your meager 500 million. Disgrace.”
Haruto later said she hoped she was bringing her family honor by stopping every 15 seconds on her trip to photograph rocks, trees, people walking by, and other random objects. She admitted to feeling deep shame after realizing her vacation photos only numbered 587,028.
“I should have tried to get more pictures of every single tree and road sign. I thought I had captured a great deal of them, but, no, I am a failure to my family and to Japan. Forgiveness, please.”
Haruto quickly announced plans to return to Europe and regain her family’s reputation.
At publishing time, she could be seen photographing each individual window on the airplane as she boarded.
