PRESS MALPRACTICE: RFK Jr. Torches CNN’s Dana Bash Over Network’s COVID Coverage in Explosive Clash [WATCH]

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. isn’t letting CNN off the hook for how it covered the pandemic — or how it treated the people who questioned it.

The Health and Human Services secretary confronted anchor Dana Bash during a tense exchange on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, accusing her and the network of committing “press malpractice” throughout COVID-19.

“You were part of the problem,” Kennedy told Bash. “Your job is fierce skepticism toward authority, and you weren’t doing that.”

Kennedy said CNN failed the country when it mattered most, choosing to go after anyone who dissented instead of pressing the officials actually running the pandemic response.

“You were scaring people,” he said. “Because that was the job of CNN.”

The HHS secretary didn’t stop at the network. He accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of lying “about everything” — masks, social distancing, natural immunity, vaccine transmission and COVID’s origins.

Bash and outlets like hers, Kennedy argued, “punished people for not trusting the experts” instead of holding those experts to account.

Bash pushed back, insisting her questions were substantive and grounded in fact.

“It is also factually true that the COVID vaccine worked,” she said. “The COVID vaccine prevented deaths.”

CNN stood by its anchor. A network spokesperson called the sit-down a “newsmaking interview” and said Bash was simply doing her job.

“Asking tough, substantive questions to those in power is the job of every journalist,” the spokesperson said.

The clash lands just days after Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times before a Senate committee, refusing to answer questions about his handling of the pandemic — a moment Kennedy has repeatedly pointed to as proof the legacy media let Fauci skate for years while burying anyone who said otherwise.

Kennedy made clear he isn’t finished holding the press accountable for what it got wrong.
