Coffee Company Has Donated $2 Million to Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers

A pro-life coffee company has reached the milestone of having raised $2 Million for pregnancy help. Seven Weeks Coffee announced the accomplishment this summer, noting 1,500 pregnancy centers and/or maternity homes have benefited from the funds.

The pro-life coffee business began five years ago by founder Anton Krecic. Two weeks after getting married in 2019, Krecic said he did a Google search of pro-life coffee companies out of curiosity.

“I came up with nothing,” Krecic said. “There was nothing out there. I couldn’t believe it.”

Krecic said he spoke to his wife and suggested they start such a business. His wife suggested the name Seven Weeks Coffee. He noted that a coffee bean is the same size as a seven-week gestational pregnancy, also when the heartbeat is clearly detected.

Krecic, who has a graduate degree in business management, said he was doing an internship with a ministry in Ohio when we got to visit a pregnancy center. It was there that his passion for the pregnancy help movement began.

He later moved to Washington, D.C. and worked with a number of conservative pro-life groups. His desire to help fund the movement grew even deeper. The concept for a pro-life company that gave back to pregnancy centers and other ministries that helped women choose life was also fueled in part by a recognition of coffee’s popularity as a product and a desire to build business.

“I’ve always been an entrepreneur,” Krecic said. “I decided the first (center) we would support would be that one in Ohio.”

The Cleveland Pregnancy Center received part of that first check in 2021, sharing with Mosaic Pregnancy Center in Northern Virginia near his current home.

Krecic said 10 percent of every coffee sale online, or 50 percent of profits, goes to pregnancy help.

The $2 Million milestone equates to 6,800,000 diapers for newborns, more than 51,000 cans of baby formula distributed to families, and over 20,000 ultrasounds provided at no cost to pregnant women in need. Krecic told supporters in an email that Seven Weeks deploys nearly $100,000 to the pregnancy help movement every 30 days.

As the support continues to grow, Krecic said there’s always room for more centers to see part of the benefits.

“We want to reach all pregnancy centers,” he said.

There is an application process for any pregnancy center, or other life-affirming pregnancy help organizations such as adoption agencies and maternity homes. The centers are grouped as partners in as many as groups of 30 or 40. The 10 percent of proceeds is distributed to those partners during a different month. Partners get a unique shopping link. Fifteen percent of every sale through the link will be donated back to the center, including sales from returning customers. Partners also receive access to a promotional toolkit to help with spreading the word about the opportunity to benefit the center through purchases. Partnership also guarantees a lifetime discount for the center and free coffee for donor events and fundraisers.

The brand is also organic, partners directly with farmers, is third-party lab-tested, and roasted fresh weekly.

Those who want to support the ministry can do so by ordering online. Seven Weeks Coffee is also marketed through social media and in some faith-based coffee shops across the country.

Krecic said they hope to get more coffee shops to carry the product in their locations and support pregnancy help.

“We want to be the coffee for all pro-life Americans,” Krecic said. “We are really still getting started and the goal is to keep blasting and tackling to get the word out.”

Krecic said the effort and experience behind starting the business have been somewhat overwhelming, but despite some “growing pains” he said the journey has been “nothing but exciting.”

“We’re not stopping now,” he told supporters.
