One year after Charlie Kirk was assassinated on a Utah college campus, the White House is marking the anniversary with his own words.
The administration released a tribute video Thursday honoring the Turning Point USA founder, combining clips from Kirk’s speeches with a message calling him a “fearless patriot” and “champion for freedom and for our country.”
“Charlie Kirk changed the course of American history,” the White House wrote. “His courage, conviction, and love of country will never be forgotten.”

Kirk was fatally shot on Sept. 10, 2025, while speaking at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University.
The White House video lets Kirk deliver much of the message himself.
“You know you are part of something bigger than yourself,” Kirk says in one featured clip.
“This movement is about the citizens versus the oligarchs. This movement is about we the people versus the ruling class. This movement is about America versus the globalists.”
Kirk built Turning Point USA into one of the country’s most influential conservative youth organizations and became a prominent Trump ally.
Since his death, the organization has continued expanding under the leadership of his widow, Erika Kirk, with its political arm opening new offices and remaining active in the 2026 midterms.
Trump also remembered Kirk during his Wednesday night address at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas.
“One year ago tomorrow, a far-Left extremist assassinated my great friend and conservative voice Charlie Kirk because Charlie Kirk spoke the truth,” Trump said.
“CHARLIE! CHARLIE! CHARLIE!”

Other senior administration officials joined Thursday’s remembrance.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised Kirk’s ability to articulate what he described as “the goodness of family, faith, and America,” while Attorney General Todd Blanche remembered him as a husband, father and activist who “inspired millions of Americans.”
The anniversary is also being marked outside Washington.
Turning Point is holding a remembrance event Thursday at Utah Valley University — the same campus where Kirk was killed one year ago.
