A volatile anti-ICE protest outside New Jersey’s Delaney Hall detention center erupted Thursday night, with demonstrators hurling obscenities at federal agents and repeatedly telling law enforcement officers to kill themselves.
Video from the scene shows at least three protesters being detained as tensions flared outside the federal immigration facility.
One demonstrator blasted agents through a megaphone, shouting, “You look like a f–king clown, s–t don’t even line up. Fix your s–t, bitch.”

Others in the crowd screamed, “What the f–k are you guys doing in there?!” while multiple protesters were heard telling officers, “Take your gun and shoot yourself” and “Every cop, every fed, shoot yourself in the head.”
The Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement had not publicly released details about the arrests as of Thursday night.
The confrontation comes amid growing disputes over conditions inside Delaney Hall.
Activists have alleged that detainees are participating in a hunger strike to protest what they describe as poor living conditions inside the facility. Federal officials have strongly disputed those claims and insist detainees are receiving appropriate care.
The demonstration escalated after protesters attempted to obstruct vehicles and personnel entering and leaving the center, resulting in clashes with law enforcement.
Many demonstrators appeared wearing keffiyeh scarves as the crowd packed the area outside the facility.
The protest also spilled into a public feud between Democratic New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill and DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin.
Sherrill, who said she was denied access to the facility on Memorial Day as protests intensified outside, accused federal officials of preventing state health inspectors from entering the building.
“If conditions are really as good as you’re claiming, then let my health inspectors do their jobs,” Sherrill wrote on X.
Mullin quickly pushed back, saying state inspectors had already visited the facility earlier Thursday.
“All detainees are provided with proper meals, quality water, blankets, medical treatment, and have opportunities to communicate with their family members and lawyers,” Mullin responded.
