Carville Threatens Democratic Exit Over Hasan Piker

The Ragin’ Cajun draws a line…

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville vowed to quit the party if socialist streamer Hasan Piker becomes one of its dominant voices, arguing that an “overwhelming majority” of Democrats want nothing to do with Piker’s brand of politics.

“I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker,” Carville said on Fox News’ “The Sunday Briefing.”

“If he becomes a force in a Democratic Party, I’m out of here. I have no intention of ever being in the same political party with that guy,” he continued.

The warning comes as democratic socialists notch primary victories around the country and exert growing pressure on a party already struggling with debt, internal divisions and questions about its political identity.

Piker, a self-described socialist with a massive online audience, campaigned with Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and has become an increasingly influential figure on the activist left.

He recently selected Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as his preferred Democratic presidential candidate for 2028. Piker also predicted there is “0% chance” the party’s next nominee will support Israel “in any way, shape or form.”

Piker has faced years of criticism over his 2019 declaration that “America deserved 9/11.” He subsequently said he “obviously” did not mean the United States deserved the terrorist attacks and described the remark as criticism of American foreign policy.

Carville is not buying what Piker is selling.

“I can’t sit here and tell you for certain how this is going to turn out, but the one thing I can tell you for certain, Hasan Piker and James Carville are not going to be in the same political party,” Carville said.

“One of us is going to leave. It might even be me.”
