This week, Fox News contributor Joe Concha criticized Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s newly announced 2026 Texas Senate bid against Sen. John Cornyn as attention-seeking rather than viable, predicting her likely defeat and pivot to media roles like co-hosting The View.
Crockett’s entry follows Democrat Collin Allred’s abrupt withdrawal from the race on December 8, 2025, to pursue a House seat, leaving her to compete in the primary against State Rep. James Talarico.
“I don’t even think Crockett has any illusions of herself winning this race,” Concha said. “I mean, this is a cartoon character… [She’s] gonna run, she’s gonna lose, and then most likely make the leap to television, whether it be the next cohost of The View, a permanent panelist on Abby Phillips’s ridiculous CNN prime-time show, or maybe Jen Psaki’s cohost on MSNBC…”
“[She’s] an unserious candidate who values attention to herself more than anything else, guys, and that’s what this run is all about: not to win, just for the attention she’s gonna get for the next year.”
