Dr. Mehmet Oz to Lead White House Briefing After Medicaid Work Requirement Rule and Amid Iran Ceasefire Questions

A familiar television face is stepping into one of Washington’s most scrutinized roles.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, will lead Tuesday afternoon’s White House press briefing, placing the administration’s healthcare agenda front and center as major foreign policy questions continue to swirl overseas.

The briefing comes just one day after CMS released its long-awaited implementation framework for new Medicaid work requirements, one of the most significant changes to the program in years.
