Fetterman Challenges Graham Platner to Release Messages Amid Growing Scandal

Sen. John Fetterman escalated his public criticism of embattled Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner over the weekend, pledging to wear a suit “every day” in the Senate if Platner can prove allegations involving explicit messages to minors are false.

The extraordinary challenge came during Fetterman’s appearance on Fox News Saturday alongside host Kayleigh McEnany, where the Pennsylvania Democrat repeatedly referred to Platner by the online username “P-Hustle.”

“P-Hustle, here’s a great chance,” Fetterman said during the interview. “You can just prove that all these people that you’re dropping those d–k pics and saying these things to were over 18.”

“I will wear a suit every day in the Senate,” he added.

Fetterman, known for wearing his trademark hoodies and shorts while serving in the Senate, used the appearance to press Platner to release messages and conversations tied to allegations surrounding his activity on the messaging platform Kik.

“You can set the record clear and provide all of those texts and all of those conversations that you were having as a newlywed just before you were going to run for the Senate,” Fetterman said.

“Transparency,” he added, while referencing past scrutiny surrounding Kik and underage users on the platform.

Democrats have been scrambling to contain political fallout surrounding Platner after the candidate admitted he maintained an active Kik account shortly after getting married and engaged in sexting conversations with women.

The controversy intensified following a report from The New York Times in which former girlfriend Lyndsey Fifield accused Platner of abusive behavior during their relationship.

According to the report, Fifield alleged Platner twisted her arm during an argument and locked her inside a bedroom until she was “calm.”
