Florida’s 25th District is the main House “battleground” in the state this fall, after the district was redrawn to give the GOP a 10-point edge. The incumbent Democrat, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, won by a margin of less than 5 percent in 2024, and his seat is one of the most vulnerable for Democrats nationwide in the midterm fight to control the House.
Controversial left-wing podcaster Hasan Piker endorsed Moskowitz’s primary opponent, DSA-backed Oliver Larkin — and got stomped.

That’s a big “L” for Piker, and sets up a November showdown between Moskowitz and Scott Singer, the mayor of Boca Raton, who calls himself a “lifelong Jewish Republican” and is 100% pro-Israel. So there’s no place for the pro-Hamas vote to go in that election and, meanwhile, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz got 45% of the vote to win her Democratic primary against four black challengers, including socialist Elijah Manley, who accused Wasserman-Schultz of trying “to take away black representation.” While I am certainly not a big fan of Debbie . . .
Never thought I’d see the day when Debbie was the lesser of two evils, but here we are. https://t.co/uQRSxP14Gh

The biggest win for our side, however, involved a far-left radical pulling an upset in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Ashley Moody. This is a special election. Moody was appointed to fill the term of Marco Rubio after he became Secretary of State, and the winner of the November election will serve until the next regular election in 2028. On the Democratic side, all the money and media attention went to Alex Vindman, who infamously inspired the 2019 impeachment of President Trump. Despite his enormous fundraising advantage, however, Vindman managed to lose to a kook:

Progressive state Rep. Angie Nixon scored a major upset over former National Security Council aide Alex Vindman in the Florida Democratic Senate primary, NBC News projects, setting up a general election race against Republican Sen. Ashley Moody.
Vindman, a retired lieutenant colonel and Iraq War veteran who rose to prominence as a witness during President Donald Trump’s 2019 impeachment hearings, was viewed as a heavy favorite against Nixon, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, heading into Tuesday’s contest.
Vindman raised $16 million for his campaign, a significant number for a Democrat in red-leaning Florida, while Nixon brought in just over $900,000.
Vindman was recruited to run for the seat by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in an effort to expand its map during a midterm election cycle that is expected to be favorable for the party. . . .
Meanwhile, the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee quickly took a swipe at Nixon.
“Florida will never elect a socialist to the US Senate and we look forward to Ashley Moody’s victory in November,” spokesman Nick Puglia said.
There is zero chance that Democrats take that seat now. Vindman’s defeat in the primary not only involved a waste of $15 million in campaign cash, but further humiliated the Democratic Party establishment, particularly Chuck Schumer. While the chances of Democrats taking back the House are still pretty good, the chances of Schumer becoming Senate Majority Leader again are not good at all now.
