Hostin Explodes on Schumer After Dems Strike Deal to Reopen Government [WATCH]

The View went nuclear Monday — and this time, the blast hit Democrats.

Co-host Sunny Hostin unloaded on her own party after eight senators broke ranks and voted with Republicans on a plan to fund the government.

Hostin is accusing Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of losing control of his caucus.

“This was a choice by Republicans to cut ACA subsidies. This was a choice by the Republicans to gut the federal government and federal employment,” Hostin said. “Democrats had nothing to do with it. I want an opposition party. I think the Democrats caved. I think the Democrats let down the American people.”

Hostin says she’s done giving Schumer and his team the benefit of the doubt.

“Shame on you the first time. You do it twice, three times, four times, shame on me,” she said. “Shame on the Democrats for even believing the Republicans will vote on it.”

“The working people want the Democratic Party to fight for them. And now, they just caved and surrendered. I think Chuck Schumer — his days are over. If he cannot keep his caucus together, he needs to go. He needs to be replaced,” Hostin said to applause.

The eight senators who sided with the GOP included Angus King, John Fetterman, Catherine Cortez Masto, Jeanne Shaheen, Maggie Hassan, Jacky Rosen, Tim Kaine, and Dick Durbin — the number two Democrat in the chamber.

While co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines praised the vote as a “welcome decision” to end the shutdown, Hostin made it clear she wasn’t buying the spin.
