It’s Time to March for Life and Fight Abortion in 2026

Yes, religion and politics do mix.

In fact, they are integral to one another, and that fact will be on full display throughout the prolife activities to take place in January in Washington, DC and in San Francisco.

On January 22nd, the tragic anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, which, although overturned by the Court, still has its deadly effects on babies and their families, two key national events in Washington will highlight the faith-and-politics connection.

First, prolife leaders and activists will gather at the Planned Parenthood facility at 1225 Fourth St NE from 9 to 10:30am. There will be speeches, prayers, and calls to action.

Prayer at these places brings the true Church, rooted in life and love, face to face with the false church, rooted in a false version of freedom disconnected from truth and responsibility.

Beyond the spiritual dimension, however, this gathering at Planned Parenthood will again be a national call to our lawmakers to stand firm against the funding of the abortion industry (not only Planned Parenthood, but all abortion businesses).

Those gathered will hear speeches that will motivate and equip them to demand of their lawmakers in Congress that as debates continue on Obamacare, no compromise is made on abortion funding. The American people do not want their money used to kill babies in the womb, as poll after poll has shown.

Moreover, the Constitution does not require the state to fund abortion. This has been the consistent position of the Supreme Court for decades.

Not only do we have to hold members of Congress accountable on this point, but in the states, we have to continue fighting against abortion amendments, all of which try to increase and cement the funding of Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses in the state constitutions.

This event will also call prolife people to be active in winning the 2026 midterm elections for the unborn.

Then, after the gathering at Planned Parenthood in Washington, prolife leaders and activists will convene in front of the US Supreme Court at 12 noon for a commemorative service remembering those killed and wounded by Roe vs. Wade.

Prayers, speeches, and the laying of flowers will highlight the fact that January 22 must never be forgotten, any more than we would allow America to forget September 11 or December 7th. Certain atrocities in American history bring us to the core of the meaning of life, and the long struggle between good and evil. We must never forget.

Moreover, we must witness to the Supreme Court that the prolife movement is stronger than ever. The Court continues to hear various cases that affect our movement – such as the First Choice case regarding New Jersey pregnancy centers. The oral arguments in that case were recently heard.

There will continue to be multiple Supreme Court cases dealing with abortion. The good news is that now the Dobbs decision, which gives strong deference to the people as the arbiters of abortion policy, is the precedent the Court needs to follow.

Please join in these events in Washington, as well as the National Prayer Service the next morning, prior to the March for Life.

In San Francisco the next day, the second largest annual prolife march will occur, the Walk for Life West Coast. It too will be preceded by a prayerful vigil at Planned Parenthood at 1522 Bush St at 8am.

Faith and politics do mix; God and public policy are intertwined. And when we understand both the nature of God and the purpose of politics, we will fervently welcome, serve and protect the children in the womb!
