Vice President JD Vance says CNN, MS NOW and Politico are still free to cover President Trump.
They just may have to do it from outside the gates.
Vance defended Trump’s decision Monday to revoke the outlets’ White House credentials, framing the fight as one over access — not their ability to publish.

“They can still report on the Trump White House. They can still get the public reports. They can still talk to people,” Vance said. “What POTUS said is we’re not going to give you special access inside the White House.”
Vance continued: “If you got back to the Biden Administration or the Obama Administration, compare Politico to Breitbart … Politico is as anti-Trump as Breitbart was anti-Obama or anti-Biden. Now, why on God’s green earth would President Trump give Politico special access when nobody in the media expected the Biden Administration or the Obama Administration to give Breitbart special access?”
“It’s about basic fairness.”
“They can still report. They still have the access to free speech. They’re just not going to get an office in the White House anymore,” Vance added.
Trump announced Friday that the three outlets were banned “effective immediately,” accusing them of repeatedly publishing what he called “FAKE NEWS.”
The threat became real Saturday.
Journalists from all three organizations were turned away from the White House, and their credentials were confiscated or deactivated.
Now they’re taking Trump to court.
CNN, MS NOW and Politico filed a joint federal lawsuit Monday seeking an emergency order restoring their access.
They argue the White House punished them because Trump dislikes their coverage — violating both the First Amendment and their due-process rights.
“Without notice or process, the White House revoked our journalists’ credentials because it objected to our reporting,” the outlets said.
