JD Vance Makes Blunt Midterm Pitch for Republicans

Vance boiled the midterms down to one question: Do you want “safety and security and prosperity?”

“If the answer is yes, and I think most Americans do, then vote for congressional Republicans over congressional Democrats on every single issue,” the vice president said during Thursday’s White House press briefing.

Vance was responding to Daily Wire reporter Mary Margaret Olohan, who asked for his “elevator pitch” to voters ahead of November.

He delivered one.

Vance accused Democrats of siding with “fraudsters, criminals, and far-left interest groups” while Republicans fight to protect taxpayers and preserve Medicaid and food benefits for legitimate recipients.

He then widened the argument to energy, crime, and American jobs — casting the GOP as the party of domestic production, law enforcement, and manufacturing.

Vance also singled out Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, accusing him of backing policies that hurt American workers while Republicans fight for Michigan’s auto industry.

His closing pitch was even simpler.

“My argument to the American people is not that you’re going to agree with us on every issue,” Vance said.

“But they’re a bunch of crazy people. Elect the common-sense people to Washington, and we’ll keep on doing great work.”
