Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to face lawmakers Tuesday morning as the Trump Administration confronts growing questions over both its foreign policy agenda and the ongoing effort to end the conflict with Iran.
Rubio will testify before the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations beginning at 10 a.m. EDT, marking one of the administration’s most closely watched appearances on Capitol Hill in recent weeks.
He is expected to defend the State Department’s budget request while fielding questions about the status of negotiations aimed at ending the more than three-month conflict with Iran.
