If you haven’t seen John James’ acceptance speech for the Republican nomination for Governor in our beloved state, I encourage you to watch it online here. You won’t regret it! It is easily one of the best speeches I have seen by any elected official in my lifetime. This is a man who is confident in his convictions, knows the issues that matter and truly cares about Michigan families and the future of our state.
James began and ended his acceptance speech by thanking “almighty God,” saying, “everything that we have comes from Him.” An incredible activist I recently met told me, “This is a man who is not ashamed of his faith.”
If you’re looking for something – someone – to get excited about this year, to renew your enthusiasm in the democratic process, to inspire you to a rally, to give you a reason to make election calls or put up a yard sign and, most importantly, to VOTE – John James is your guy! He is a courageous combat veteran, conservative congressman, dedicated husband and father and, God willing, the next Governor of the great state of Michigan.

Two years ago, I met Congressman John James in Lansing. A few things immediately struck me. He shook the hands of everyone in the room. He listened to everyone in the room. Then he responded with grace, clarity and conviction.
James has a long history of supporting our cause. He is unwavering in supporting life-affirming alternatives to abortion, compassionately standing for, not against, women facing unplanned pregnancies, supporting efforts to help couples grow their families and pushing back against the Democrats’ devastating impact on our pocketbooks, our communities and our principles.
There are less than two months until early in-person voting begins Oct. 24. That means the lies of the left will increase in intensity and vitriol. They are again using the life issue to mislead voters—to attempt to erode pro-family, pro-life support for John James while at the same time making every effort to peel away female voters with the fantasy that “abortion rights” are on the ballot – they are not.
It isn’t unusual for the left to speak out of both sides of their mouths, but in this environment, it is more dangerous than ever.
The Democrats’ candidates for Governor, Jocelyn Benson, and U.S. Senate, Abdul El-Sayed, are far more dangerous than your run-of-the-mill socialists. They are true believers in the worst sense. These abortion-first activists, both endorsed by Planned Parenthood, believe any means are justified in winning power and reshaping our state and nation in their perverted image, an image contrary to what the founders intended, one that limits freedom, chills free speech and offers fear in the place of hope.
Each time we elect candidates with disdain for America, the country weakens. And each time we elect candidates who appeal to the best of who we are, we strengthen!
If you’re like me, you’re ready for change and leadership we can trust! Leadership who puts Michigan families first, who supports parental rights, who will protect our taxpayer money from funding abortion, and who will help ensure the American dream is again achievable!
“Michigan is on fire; I’ve always run toward the fire,” James said, and he means it. John James isn’t afraid of much, and that’s exactly who we need leading our state in the years ahead!
