Nancy Pelosi Silent on Paul Pelosi Hit-and-Run Charge

Nancy Pelosi had the entire walk to her car to answer one simple question about her husband’s hit-and-run charge.

She never said a word.

The former House speaker remained silent as Fox News Digital repeatedly asked whether she believed prosecutors had treated Paul Pelosi fairly after charging him with misdemeanor hit-and-run.

“Can you tell us if you think the misdemeanor charge against Paul was fair?” Fox News Digital asked.

Pelosi continued toward her vehicle without responding.

Her silence came days after the Napa County District Attorney’s Office charged her 86-year-old husband over a July 3 collision involving a parked Tesla in Yountville, California.

Prosecutors also charged Paul Pelosi with an infraction for allegedly making an unsafe turn.

If convicted of misdemeanor hit-and-run involving property damage, Pelosi could face up to six months in county jail, a fine of up to $1,000 or both. The charge is an allegation, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Authorities allege Pelosi struck the unoccupied Tesla while driving a Maserati GranCabrio convertible and left without attempting to contact the owner or provide the identifying information required under California law.

Pelosi’s Maserati stopped running a short distance from the crash site. Deputies later found him with damage to the front of the vehicle.

He reportedly told investigators that he knew he had hit something but did not know what it was and planned to return to the scene.

Nobody was injured, and investigators said Pelosi did not have alcohol in his system, according to The Associated Press.

Authorities nevertheless referred Pelosi for a behind-the-wheel evaluation to determine whether he can continue operating a vehicle safely.
