National Pro-Life Group Endorses Ken Paxton Over Pro-Abortion James Talarico

Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Attorney General Ken Paxton to be the next U.S. senator for Texas. Early voting runs from October 19-30, and Election Day is November 3.

“Ken Paxton has been a warrior on behalf of the unborn in Texas. He is the fighter we need at this crucial moment to defeat radical James Talarico and stand in the arena of the U.S. Senate,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Far-left abortion activists have had Texas babies in their crosshairs for years. They’ve flooded the state with illegal and dangerous abortion drugs, killing tens of thousands of unborn children each year and recklessly endangering women’s lives. At every single turn, Paxton has relentlessly defended babies, moms, and the rule of law.

“Texans shouldn’t be fooled by Talarico’s ‘moderate’ pose or underestimate how much harm he would do in the Senate, twisting Scripture to preach the killing of babies for any reason, at any point up to birth. It doesn’t end there: He voted against medical care for newborns who’ve just survived an abortion attempt. Talarico’s push to enshrine no-limits, all-trimester abortion in the Texas Constitution leaves no doubt how he would vote on ending the filibuster to force the Democrats’ signature late-term abortion mandate on all 50 states. He’s so hellbent on denying children and mothers across the country basic protections, he went so far as to call for federally run abortion centers in pro-life states.

“The stakes are enormous. Talarico’s deeply unpopular agenda disqualifies him to lead anywhere, but especially in Texas and in the U.S. Senate. Texans deserve a champion for the unborn who’ll defend innocent babies against these heartless attacks on their humanity and rights. In contrast, we know Ken Paxton is ready, willing and able to be that champion. We call on Texans to rally around our pro-life Senate nominee and send Talarico and his false abortion gospel packing this November.”

Ken Paxton has served as attorney general of Texas since 2015. He was the first attorney general in the country to sue an out-of-state abortionist for illegally sending mail-order abortion drugs into Texas, killing an unborn child and sending the mother to the ER, and has taken numerous legal actions to hold abortion drug sellers accountable in the face of defiance by Democrat-led states.

In this role he also championed the Texas Heartbeat Act, stood up for the right to defund abortion giant Planned Parenthood of taxpayer dollars, and defended pregnancy centers from Big Tech discrimination. Previously he spent more than a decade in the Texas Legislature.
