WASHINGTON, DC — Donald Trump received an email from the President of Nigeria with a commitment to end the genocide against Christians if Trump agrees to send him $5,000 in Amazon gift cards.
“I hope this email finds you well, Mr. Donald,” the email stated. “I am the President of Nigeria and will most gladly endeavor to end this genocide in my country if you can be pleased to send me $5,000 in Amazon gift cards. Thank you very much. You are dearest.”
Trump expressed surprise at the email and worried it might not be legitimate.
“I’ve seen these things before,” Trump told reporters. “They’re always wanting gift cards, so weird. I told my staff not to send him anything until I can call him up and ask if this is for real.”
The Nigerian government has come under fire recently for not doing enough to stop the slaughter of thousands of Christians living in the country. President Trump posted a message on Truth Social over the weekend condemning the killings and calling on the President of Nigeria to end the violence.
After receiving no response from Trump, the Nigerian President followed up with another email, saying: “My sadness is disappoint that you did not send the much needful cards. Please send right now. Genocide will stop, I strongly promise.”
At publishing time, the President of Nigeria informed Trump he did, in fact, send the email and asked when to expect delivery of the gift cards.
What happens when a politically divided family sit down for a “peaceful” dinner?
