Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Endorses Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro

The nation’s biggest abortion business loves Josh Shapiro.

Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates endorsed Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro for re-election Thursday, praising his defense of abortion after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs ruling.

Signe Espinoza, executive director of Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates, announced the endorsement on Facebook.

“The choice is obvious for anyone who believes in access to essential health care and the fundamental right to make your own decisions. Planned Parenthood is with Josh Shapiro one hundred percent,” Espinoza wrote.

“In the world of Dobbs and ‘defunding’ health centers, the stakes of state races have never been higher. Josh Shapiro has risen to those stakes time and again as our Governor,” she added.

Shapiro, a Democrat, is running for a second term against Republican state Treasurer Stacy Garrity.

Pro-life advocates have condemned Shapiro’s alliance with the abortion industry.

Maria Gallagher, legislative director and PAC director for the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, described Shapiro last month as a “pro-abortion extremist.”

Gallagher wrote that Shapiro “has a radical position on abortion—so radical, in fact, that he took away funding to help pregnant women.”

She said he “wiped out money to assist Moms who want to keep their babies” and called the move “a gift to the abortion industry, with which Shapiro is closely aligned.

”Every chance he gets, Gallagher wrote, Shapiro posts on X about “reproductive freedom,” which she called “code language for abortion on demand, for any reason, or for no reason at all.” She said Shapiro “is also silent when it comes to the issue of coerced abortions” and “shrouds his allegiance to abortion under the mantle of ‘health care.’”

“Voters beware—Josh Shapiro is pursuing policies which harm women and children. He is an extremist on the issue of abortion and he shows no signs of changing his regrettable stand,” Gallagher wrote. She noted that Shapiro “appears to be preparing for a run for President in 2028.”
