Operation Rescue recently confirmed three women requiring emergency transport from the Park Hill Planned Parenthood located in Denver, Colorado — the same state where Lexi Arguello lost her life and the life of her unborn baby in February of last year.
Like the Fort Collins Planned Parenthood that killed Lexi, this Denver Planned Parenthood also performs dangerous late-term abortions while going unregulated and unlicensed by the state. And just like Fort Collins, this Denver clinic continues to regularly injure women with no consequences.

“In the name of ‘abortion access,’ Colorado officials continue to not only allow, but intentionally foster back-alley abortion operations across the state,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “No other ambulatory center in Colorado is allowed such privilege and protection — abortion clinics, alone, are exempt from licensing, inspections, and regulation. And they certainly don’t undergo any investigation, even when they kill a young 18-year-old girl or injure multiple women.”
In less than two years, Operation Rescue has investigated eight abortion emergencies at the Park Hill Planned Parenthood, including these three most recent ones. In 2025, Colorado abortion injuries made up nearly a third of Operation Rescue’s total investigations.
Sarah Neely, Operation Rescue COO, states, “Women are being brutally injured in growing numbers at these unregulated, unlicensed clinics, and officials are doing nothing. It’s abhorrent, and clearly indicates Colorado does not care about women. It cares about making sure babies can be killed through all nine months of pregnancy, and that those doing the killing receive the highest level of protection from any consequences.”
Three More Abortion Emergencies
On March 10, the Park Hill Planned Parenthood called 911 for a 31-year-old female experiencing a “high heart rate” and in need of emergency medical services. According to the computer-aided dispatch record, the call was given a dispatch code of “37C02,” which indicates suspected acute heart problems, even a possible heart attack. It is a designation that means the situation is serious and the patient needs immediate care — care that an abortion clinic is never equipped to administer on site.
An elevated heart rate, especially during a surgical procedure, could also indicate a myriad of complications, including internal bleeding from something like a uterine perforation.
“Unfortunately, the CAD records produced by the city of Denver are so heavily redacted that we can’t be sure what definitively happened to this woman,” says Neely. “And 911 audio records could tell the public much more, but the city of Denver refuses to release even redacted copies of those public records. Yet again, Colorado officials have created special protections for abortion businesses, ensuring no members of the public can obtain real records on real emergencies where real humans are being injured. Women trying to discern if a clinic is safe or has a history of harming patients are largely left in the dark.”
On April 7, the Park Hill Planned Parenthood had to call 911 again. A 26-year-old female was experiencing “chest pain that goes to the back.” Again, the call was given a dispatch code of “37C02,” indicating a serious medical situation that required immediate intervention. Again, city officials denied Operation Rescue’s request for the 911 audio records.
On May 27, yet another ambulance was requested. This time, for a 20-year-old female who was “bleeding extensively.” A second note on the CAD report states, “There is SERIOUS bleeding.”
Hemorrhage is one of the most common, and one of the most life-threatening, complications of surgical abortions. When bleeding goes unchecked, a patient can deteriorate very quickly and abortion clinics are not equipped to give the necessary emergency care — hence why an ambulance is needed.
Planned Parenthood Repeatedly Fails at Emergency Protocols
Women experiencing these life-threatening complications are totally dependent on abortion clinic staff to follow emergency protocols and call 911 — something that Planned Parenthood has failed at again and again.
Troy Newman adds, “Lexi Arguello experienced a catastrophic complication and numerous sources our team interviewed confirmed Planned Parenthood waited too long to call 911. And when they did call, it is believed they requested no lights and sirens, as they’d done many times before. Those are choices abortion clinics make to protect themselves, downplaying true emergencies when seconds and minutes could mean the difference between life and death.
“Colorado officials cannot keep ignoring these women. We will certainly not allow them to ignore the life of Lexi and her 22-week baby, both gone from this world while Planned Parenthood gets off scot-free. It’s time for Colorado to acknowledge what their radical abortion policies have created: back-alley abortions as the new norm.”
