Today, our Founding Freedoms Law Center (FFLC) attorneys are in Tazewell County Circuit Court for the first hearing over our lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the unlimited abortion amendment planned for this November’s ballot. Please pray for them!

At issue in today’s hearing is whether the leftist pro-abortion group “Virginians for Reproductive Freedom” (VRF) has the right to formally intervene in our lawsuit and join the government to oppose us. VRF is a “referendum committee” that has already raised $500,000 and plans to pour millions more into Virginia to persuade voters to support the abortion ballot initiative. We believe Virginia case law is clear that they have no right to intervene.

But VRF’s attempt to intervene in our case does speak volumes about the threat the left perceives this lawsuit to be to their efforts to permanently enshrine unlimited abortion in Virginia. In fact, they are being represented by the Elias Law Group, considered by many to be the leading law firm in the country that works to push leftist election causes.
Clearly, our lawsuit got all the right people’s attention. Clearly, they know that we could be successful in stopping this flawed and deceptive abortion amendment in court. Given recent court rulings overturning the redistricting amendment in Tazewell, they clearly have reason to worry that their golden calf of child sacrifice could be thrown down.
As you can surely see, what we are engaged in is ultimately a spiritual battle of good versus evil, and the side of evil has seemingly limitless resources. Yet we are on God’s side, and we know He can do whatever He wants. But He most often accomplishes His purposes through the faithful prayers and personal sacrifices of individual people.
We cannot do this without your help. Thank you for your continued support. We will keep you informed as this case moves forward.
