Pro-Life Hero Mark Houck Joins Pro-Life Group’s Staff

The pro-life advocate who took on the Biden Administration—and won—is now a member of CatholicVote’s staff. Mark Houck proved the Department of Justice and FBI were being weaponized against the pro-life movement. His ultimate victory vindicated the rights of pro-life advocates nationwide to peacefully promote the sanctity of human life.

The announcement comes on the heels of an open letter from CatholicVote President and CEO Kelsey Reinhardt calling on the bishops of Massachusetts to clarify the excommunication status of Governor Maura Healey after her celebratory signing of a bill that permits abortion up to birth.

“Mark’s witness to the truth of Catholic teaching on abortion stands in stark contrast to the gravely immoral example of Gov. Healey,” said Reinhardt. “Mark represents the kind of pro-life leadership America needs: courageous without compromise, faithful without fear, and committed to building a culture in which every mother, father, and child is treated with dignity. CatholicVote named Houck its “Hero of the Year” in 2022. He joins the organization as a Major Gifts Officer, responsible for helping marshal the resources necessary for the success of CatholicVote’s many endeavors. He will also contribute to CatholicVote’s volunteer and pro-life efforts.
