Senate Investigators Obtain Fauci’s COVID-Era Phone

Anthony Fauci wouldn’t answer the Senate’s questions.

Investigators now have a copy of his phone.

Sen. Ron Johnson revealed Wednesday evening that his Senate Homeland Security investigative panel obtained the COVID-era device from the Department of Health and Human Services, potentially giving lawmakers a new window into Fauci’s communications during the pandemic.

“The Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has obtained a copy of Dr. Fauci’s phone from HHS,” Johnson wrote on X.

“Hopefully, this device will address many of the questions he refused to answer at last week’s hearing.”

The Wall Street Journal first reported that the device had been handed over to Congress.

A Johnson spokeswoman told the newspaper that Fauci used the phone while serving as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the agency he led for 38 years before retiring from government at the end of 2022.
