U.S. — Tesla announced on Friday that it had entered an agreement to create a joint venture with Little Tikes to bring Full Self-Driving to the Cozy Coupe.
The Little Tikes Cozy Coupe has always functioned as a mirror for the car industry. Kids have been pushing around their Cozy Coupes for years, pretending to be adults going to work or crashing into pedestrians, and now they can do it all with Full Self-Driving for an additional $99.00 a month.
“Today, we have shattered the tiny glass ceiling of the tiny toy car industry with the introduction of a brand new Little Tikes Cozy Coupe powered by Tesla’s innovative FSD technology,” Little Tikes President Michael Couts said. “Now kids can let the Cozy Coupe drive them around your backyard and into the future.”
The Little Tikes Cozy Coupe with Tesla FSD features the same hard red plastic finish and yellow roof of the classic Cozy Coupe and retails for $10,000.
“This is just one of many steps required to get to Mars,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk said. “When we’ve mastered self-driving on the Cozy Coupe, we’ll finally be ready to reach for the stars.”
At publishing time, the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, while small and plastic, appeared to have been adopted primarily by adults looking for a cheap car, with multiple tiny toy cars being seen driving on the freeway.
