This Baby Was Saved From Abortion Because Pro-Life People Helped a Young Mom

Last fall, a young college student in Nairobi, Kenya, we’ll call her “Sarah,” quietly logged on to a virtual Pro-Life Global training. She had just learned she was pregnant, and her heart was heavy with fear.

The baby’s father had stopped speaking to her and wanted nothing to do with their child. She had no job. And she was terrified to tell her parents, certain they would cut off the funding she needed to finish school. She felt utterly alone.

But something in those trainings reached her and gave her the courage to choose life. As she later shared with us in a WhatsApp message, the training “helped me make the decision of keeping my pregnancy after my baby daddy stopped talking to me and wanted nothing to do with me.”

Two weeks before her May 15th due date, “Sarah” reached out to our “Awaken a Dream” LIFE Team in Nairobi. She simply couldn’t afford Kenya’s annual national health insurance fee, and without it, she faced overwhelming medical bills after her baby arrived.

And this is the beautiful part: thanks to our faithful local LIFE Team and the kindness of an anonymous donor, “Sarah’s” health insurance was paid in full. She was overwhelmed with gratitude and today, she is a mother, holding her precious child in her arms.
