Trump Trolls ‘Dumocrats’ After Al Green Loss in Texas

Trump torches one of his biggest critics.

Rep. Christian Menefee defeated fellow Democratic Rep. Al Green on Tuesday in a Houston-area runoff, ending the congressional career of one of Capitol Hill’s most outspoken critics of President Donald Trump.

Neither candidate secured a majority in the March primary, sending the contest to a runoff under Texas election law. Menefee finished first in that initial vote with 46% support, while Green trailed closely with 44.2%.

But Tuesday night marked the end of the line for Green.

Trump shared his thoughts in a Wednesday morning TRUTH Social post.

“Congratulations to the Dumocrat Party! Al Green, one of the most mentally deficient Congressmen in the history of our Country, has lost, in a landslide, his seat in Congress – But I will miss that lunatic not screaming and violently waving his cane at me during my next State of the Union Speech. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!”
