Hilton is yanking the Hilton name from a Minnesota Hampton Inn after the property banned immigration agents — then claimed it reversed course.
The firestorm erupted after Homeland Security posted an email from the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Lakeville saying it was canceling reservations tied to ICE and immigration enforcement.
“When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails and rates, Hilton Hotels maliciously CANCELLED their reservations. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement from their mission to enforce our nation’s immigration laws?” the post said.

By Tuesday morning, Hilton said it had been told the problem was fixed — and that the hotel had even put out a message confirming it.
Then came the video. Hilton pointed to a clip posted by conservative influencer Nick Sortor, who visited the property and was told at the front desk that DHS/ICE reservations still weren’t allowed — “per management” — despite a statement from the operator, Everpeak Hospitality, saying otherwise.
“We’re not accepting people from immigration, ICE agents, DHS onto our property … it’s just policy,” the clerk told Sortor in the video.

Hilton’s response was immediate and blunt. “The independent hotel owner had assured us that they had fixed this problem and published a message confirming this,” Hilton said, adding: “As such, we are taking immediate action to remove this hotel from our systems.”
