Last month, a team of pro-abortion lawyers sent Live Action—the pro-life media powerhouse founded by Lila Rose—a fourteen-page ultimatum.
Their letter ordered Live Action to erase years of honest reporting on abortion, to publish “full and unequivocal recantations,” and to promise to never again publish alleged “false statements” about an open-ended, unnamed list of abortion activists.
In effect: giving the abortion lobby veto power over its reporting on public figures who chose to publicly advocate for abortion.
Their central demand? That Live Action stop calling abortion what it is: the killing of a living human child.

The group behind the threat, Amplify Legal, represents thirteen people who aborted their children in the wake of poor prenatal diagnoses—but who then publicly spread the stories of their abortions in political advertising and the media to advocate for the legalization of unlimited abortion until birth.
One of the thirteen addressed the Democratic National Convention and now sends fundraising emails about her story. Another starred in a presidential campaign ad. A third is branded a “storyteller” by the very organization now threatening Live Action, with a video that drew millions of views.
Live Action simply reported the truth about these activists, including that they “killed” their children. But for the radical left lawyers at Amplify Legal, truth doesn’t matter: no dissent can be allowed from their pro-abortion orthodoxy.
But there’s more. Amplify Legal is the litigation arm of an abortion lobby group co-founded by the late Cecile Richards, the longtime president of Planned Parenthood. It runs on money funneled through a daisy chain of pass-through funds, including nearly $17 million from George Soros.
This is a professionally orchestrated campaign by Big Abortion to weaponize legal threats against pro-life journalism.
On behalf of Live Action, we responded to their demands: “The answer is ‘No.’”
We told Amplify Legal that Live Action will not delete its reporting, retract protected opinion, or hand its journalism to the abortion lobby for approval. Because calling abortion “killing” is not defamation… It is the truth, and it is constitutionally protected speech.
This is Big Abortion’s new playbook. Silencing pro-life truth-tellers such as Live Action has become a strategy—and it’s escalating.
