DALLAS, TX — One local man’s life took an unexpected turn this week, after he was surprised to learn that he had a podcast.
Chris Wilson, a 40-year-old warehouse operations manager, reportedly had no idea that he was the host of a podcast and had somehow produced over 1,000 episodes over the last seven years.
“I had no idea,” Wilson said after hearing about his show. “I mean, I knew most people in the world host some type of podcast these days, but I really wasn’t aware that I had one. From what I’ve heard, it’s pretty popular. You’d have thought I would have remembered doing it, but nope. All this time, I’ve had a podcast without realizing it.”
Wilson said he had no clue he was the creator and host of the long-running program “Hot Takes with Chris” until one of his coworkers complimented him on his most recent episode. “I thought he must have had me confused with someone else,” he said. “But, nope, I looked into it, and I have a podcast. Just goes to show that sometimes you can surprise even yourself. I never would have guessed I’d be capable of doing something like this, but here I am. I should interview me and find out how it happened.”
Wilson’s podcast reportedly covers a wide range of topics, from NFL football to comic books, pro wrestling, and cheeseburger reviews, as well as watch-alongs with new episodes of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Dubai, which Wilson says he doesn’t ever recall watching, but apparently has.
At publishing time, Wilson had also learned that all of his coworkers and family members have podcasts of their own.
