Hasan Piker Blames Boomers After Hong’s Wisconsin Loss

This is the Dems’ hero.

Hasan Piker had a ready explanation for socialist Francesca Hong’s stunning Wisconsin primary defeat: Blame the boomers.

The far-left Twitch streamer erupted during a broadcast after Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley narrowly defeated Hong for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, despite polls that had shown the Democratic Socialists of America member holding a double-digit lead.

Piker campaigned alongside Hong during the closing weeks of the race and appeared to struggle with the result.

His frustration boiled over while reading about a late-deciding voter who supported Crowley but also had positive things to say about Hong.

“I don’t want to read this because I will f—ing kill myself with a gun in a video game,” Piker said.

“I can’t. I’m in a good mood overall,” he continued. “I want to put boomers in the machine, in the contraption, and not just boomers, like anyone that says that.”

Piker did not explain what he meant by “the machine” or “the contraption.” His comments appeared during an angry political livestream and included the explicit “in a video game” qualifier.

The defeat delivered a significant setback to the socialist movement after Piker and other prominent progressives rallied behind Hong’s campaign.

Hong entered the race carrying political baggage that included past calls to abolish the police and get rid of Thanksgiving. She attempted to distance herself from the latter position during the campaign, but her initial explanation that the holiday is “incredibly painful” for some communities triggered fresh backlash.

Crowley’s victory gave establishment Democrats a reprieve and denied Republicans the opponent they had openly hoped to face in November.
