Man Upset As Someone Calls Him On Device Specifically Designed For People To Call Him On

TOPEKA, KS — Local man Samuel Denton was deeply upset Tuesday afternoon after his device, which is specifically designed to receive phone calls, received a phone call.

Denton sighed with frustration, perturbed that anyone would have the audacity to call him on his call-receiving device.

“Why would anyone do this?” growled Denton, staring at the name blinking on his phone. “Couldn’t they have texted? Or emailed? Or sent me a carrier pigeon? What would possess a human being to call me on this device that is designed for people to call me?”

Witnesses said Denton watched the phone ring in angry silence until it stopped, only to become even more irritated when the caller left a voicemail.

“Seriously? You expect me to listen to a message you left in the electronic mailbox that’s intended to receive and store messages?” cried Denton. “I’m not sure how much more of this pain and suffering I can endure. This is the worst thing to ever happen to any human, ever.”

At publishing time, the caller had texted Denton to let him know that he had forgotten to pick his son up from daycare again.
