With 45 Days Left Until Labor Day, Wife Unveils Pumpkin Spice Advent Calendar

CONCORD, NH — Labor Day, and the symbolic start of pumpkin spice season, is just a short 45 days away, and local woman Debrah Norringham was reportedly getting her house in the autumn spirit with a festive new pumpkin spice advent calendar.

Norringham surprised her family with a handcrafted calendar that counts down the days to the season with a fun, delicious pumpkin spice gift hidden behind each of its 45 doors.

“How fun! A pumpkin spice cookie! Yum!” Norringham said as she cracked open the calendar’s first door. “I’m just going to go ahead and eat this. Maybe I’ll share tomorrow’s gift.”

According to sources, Norringham woke her family up at the crack of dawn to show them the “sacred” calendar and explain the true meaning of fall — eating pumpkin spice-flavored products.

Reports suggest her husband sort of shrugged at the whole thing and immediately went back to bed. Her children were initially excited, however, until it became clear their mother was going to take all the advent gifts.

“I like cookies,” Suzie Norringham, 6, initially protested.

“Awwww!” her mother said, patting her daughter on the head with a laugh. “But mommy gets all the treats, or the Autumn Ghost will get you! Haha!”

At publishing time, Norringham had put their family portrait into storage so she could prominently display the pumpkin spice advent calendar above their mantle.
